Matinier will arrive Israel for a special collaboration with Zohar Fresco, the world's master of middle eastern drums as well as with Itamar Erez, Avri Borochov and vocalist Talya G.A Solan.

This special French - Israeli collaboration is kindly supported by the French Embassy, the Romain Gery Jerusalem French institute and the Israeli MFA.

A French Israeli international collaboration with Parisian accordion master, Jean Louis Matinier.
Talya G.A Solan, an Israeli vocalist, and Jean Louis Matinier met in 2010 as part of international jazz collaboration in Rome. That musical encounter led to an artistic friendship from which this uncommon Israeli-French collaboration has grown Matinier brings to the collaboration creativity, sensitivity and an unmistakable spark, while Solan offers beautiful vocals of extraordinary expression, range and sincerity.

An equally impressive virtuoso musicians including Zohar Fresco (percussion), Itamar Erez (guitar) and Avri Borochov (double bass) will joing G.A and Matinier for three magical concerts of original music and Israeli poems of love.

ABOUT 6000 CHRISTIAN FRIENDS OF ISRAEL FROM AROUND THE WORLD WILL CELEBRATE THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES IN JERUSALEM. TOURISM MINISTER STAS MISEZHNIKOV:

"CHRISITAN TOURISM IN ALL ITS DENOMINATIONS WILL REMAIN AT THE CENTER OF THE TOURISM MINISTRY'S MARKETING ACTIVITIES IN THE COMING YEAR. CHRISTIAN TOURISM JUSTIFIES THE INVESTMENT. 1.7 MILLION CHRISTIAN TOURISTS ARRIVED IN ISRAEL IN 2011, 58% OF ALL INCOMING TOURISM".

About 6000 Christian friends of Israel from over 100 countries, led by Evangelical community leaders, will arrive in Israel to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles (30 Sept – 4 October). Tourism Minister Stas Misezhnikov will welcome the thousands of Christian visitors to the feast in a special broadcast that will take place in the International Convention Center, Jerusalem. The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem is arranging the events surrounding the feast, with assistance from the Tourism Ministry.

THE CHANNEL AND THE TOURISM MINISTRY PRODUCED A PROGRAM AND CLIP ABOUT THE ISRAELI OPERA FOR OCTOBER BROADCAST

The French television music channel Mezzo will dedicate its programming in October to music and opera from Israel. Mezzo's director general, Christophe Winckel, who arrived in Israel earlier this week, noted in a press conference that the broadcasts will include the Jazz Festival to take place in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem under the channel's sponsorship as well as programs about the Israeli Opera.

The TV channel, in cooperation with the Tourism Ministry, created a five-minute clip featuring the recent Israeli Opera production of Carmen which took place at the foot of Mount Masada in June 2012 as part of the Israeli Opera Festival at Masada. The program, which also includes a behind-the-scenes look at the production, will be broadcast throughout the month of October.
