The David InterContinental Tel Aviv’s anxiously awaited THE Spa is set to open during the summer of 2013. The 900 square-meter oasis of peace and tranquility of this exclusive and upscale spa facility will combine the beauty and allure of holistic traditions with the sophistication of modern spa techniques, to deliver the ultimate spa experience.

The name says it all: THE Spa stands for Tailor-made Holistic Experience. The concept behind the name is to allow the guest to choose whatever service she or he may desire.

Whether it be choosing the type of salt for a treatment, selecting specific background music, or choosing the flavor of the cocktail at the end of the treatment, all aspects will be customized to the guest’s individual preferences. The treatments provided will combine holistic approaches and methods resulting in an overall experience unlike any other. Guests will not only be able to discover a journey through bliss and serenity, but they will be able to enjoy the perks of our hotel by being a guest at THE Spa.

Guy Nadler, manager of THE Spa, has been working in the hotel industry for 20 years and working specifically in spa management and development for 15 years. He has opened 10 spas, exclusively in hotels, all around Israel including the David Citadel Hotel, Jerusalem’s Akasha Spa at the Mamilla Hotel as well as exclusive venues in London and in Amsterdam. To add to Mr. Nadler’s list of achievements, he also managed Israel’s largest spa, the Carmel Forest Spa Resort, for five years.

Mr. Nadler is passionate about his vision for THE Spa and states that “The spa industry started off slowly in various parts of Israel but hasn’t reached Tel Aviv yet. My vision and goal is that THE Spa will be the spa in Tel Aviv; the heart of Israel.” David Cohen, General Manager of the David InterContinental added, “We are very excited about our upcoming launch and collaboration with

Mr. Nadler. We look forward to sharing the unique ambiance, design, and distinctive THE Spa experience with both guests of the David InterContinental Tel Aviv Hotel and clients of our spa.”

THE Spa’s design takes inspiration from the fresh colors of the Mediterranean. The contemporary, warm, and luxurious facility designed by Ara Design International, will create a sensory adventure for the guests, beginning from the moment they enter our facility. A soothing palette of beige and coffee hues complements subtle lighting, rich fabrics, and relaxing sounds to complete the unique THE Spa experience. Specializing in the global hospitality sector, Ara Design understands the importance of integrating the local culture, aesthetic, values, and materials into every piece of work they create.

Features of THE Spa will include:

  • 7 treatment rooms including 1 suite for couples

  • Anti-Aging treatments, sea-salt body peels, sea-shell treatments, elements of the earth treatment, a variety of massage techniques, special couple treatments, and THE Spa’s signature tailor-made treatments, will be just a few of the heavenly treatments offered at this urban oasis.

  • All facial products are by Peter Thomas Roth, the American award-winning skin care specialist. Hair products are by L’Oreal, and nail polish is by OPI, Essie, and CNB.

  • Two professional hairdressers from Los Angeles whose clients are some of Hollywood’s most famous celebrities will offer hair treatments, cut, color, blow-dry, up-do’s and styling.

  • Fully equipped 80 square-meter gym, featuring TechnoGym Kinesis equipment which offers a wide variety of exercises on each machine. Special warm-up techniques will be used such as Thai-Chi, known to help open up the vital organs. Gym memberships will be available and will grant access to THE Spa and to the beautiful outdoor pool overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

The spa is enhanced by a service style that considers the guests’ need for escape, providing unobtrusive care and attention to detail, delivered by a team of dedicated spa professionals. To conclude, Mr. Nadler says, “What will set THE Spa apart will be not only the sense of caring and the intuitive attitude of our therapists, but also the ability of our team to customize treatments for each of our guests. A treatment at THE Spa will be a memorable experience that will be unique to each individual.”
