Health resort and spa Rogaška is located in close proximity to both Slovenian and Croatian capitals, Zagreb and Ljubljana, in a magical forested valley, surrounded by green hills. Not  far from the resort is the place where the unique, mineral waters of the Donat gush forth from deep within the earth. Rich in magnesium and other vital minerals, this water has contributed to the resort’s evolvement into one of the most well known and attractive spas in all of Europe. Rogaška Spa prides itself in centuries of tradition.  DONAT Mg. mineral water and its health benefits: the water of the natural spring located in the vicinity of the Rogaška spa contains a very high concentration of natural magnesium. It is the richest water with magnesium in the world. Legend has it that the creation of the healing water of Rogaška was ordered by Apollo, god of the Sun and healing. The quality of the spring water was scientifically tested as early as 1579, by well known chemist, Leonhardt Thurneysser. Many studies show that these waters are rich in minerals that originate from melted rock: magnesium, calcium, sulfur, bicarbonate and other vital components, all of which grace this water with rare healing qualities, helping to treat many diseases and protect the body. The naturally carbonated spring water contains over 1,000 ml. of magnesium per liter, more than in any other spring in the world.

The large number of people who return to Rogaška each year, and enjoy newfound health as a result of the healing power of the magnesium water, is proof of the efficiency and potency attributed to these waters. Drinking magnesium water benefits those who suffer from ailments of the liver and gall bladder, heartburn, constipation, vascular diseases, kidney stones, metabolic issues, high cholesterol, high blood sugar levels and hypertension, heart rhythm disorders, muscle spasms, physical and mental stress and more.

The treatments at the Rogaška Spa and Health Resort medical center are performed by reputable specialist doctors, using cutting edge technology in the fields of gastroenterology, cardiology, internal medicine, dermatology, urology, orthopedics, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, medical aesthetics, vascular surgery and more. The treatments integrate classical, traditional knowledge from the past and modern treatment methods, as well as excellent natural products. In addition, this enchanting resort offers various massages and beauty treatments, assisted by advanced technologies.

Guests of the resort enjoy the rich Slovenian culture and tours of various destinations, including the beautiful Slovenian cities, Ljubljana and Maribor, the famous nature reserve of Plitvitze in Croatia, the resorts at Lake Bled, Olimia region and the deer farm, Postojna Cave and its stalactites and other destinations, all basking in the beauty and lushness of Eastern European nature.
