“The real danger to world peace is not the Jews who build their ancestral capital, rather the nuclear weapons in Iran and chemicals weapons in Syria which might fall into the wrong hands. Israel understands these threats and copes with them and I urge other countries to join the challenge. Israel wants real peace, we are ready for peace and ready to compromise for peace,” said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at Taglit Birthright Israel's Mega event, held in Jerusalem this evening, Monday 7.1.12, in celebration of the projects Bar Mitzvah year.
 Present at the event were the Minister of Information and Diaspora, Yuli Edelstein, one of the founders and chairmen of Taglit Birthright Israel, Michael Steinhardt, the CEO of Taglit Birthright Israel, Gidi Mark, hundreds of donors and friends from Jewish communities around the world and thousands of Birthright participants from the US, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Uruguay, Russia and Israel.  The Prime Minister continued by stating: "You all came from different countries, you speak different languages, you have different cultures. But you all have one thing in common, Israel is your birthright! Today Taglit Birthright Israel celebrates its Bar Mitzvah year, 13 years. Taglit Birthright Israel changed the Jewish future. Since its beginnings, 330 thousand Jews came to Israel. Our goal is that every young Jew who wants to come to Israel will do it, we will make that possible."
