Senior Telecom and Hi-Tech Executives from Around the World, Led by Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt, Set to Participate in the Upcoming Israeli Presidential Conference
Approximately 200 leading speakers from Israel and abroad have already confirmed their participation in the conference, set to take place June 19-21 in Jerusalem
Jerusalem, Israel, May 20, 2012 - The Steering Committee of the 2012 Israeli Presidential Conference, 'Facing Tomorrow', announced today that the Chairman of Google, Eric Schmidt, as well as senior executives from the global hi-tech and marketing industry, have confirmed their participation in the upcoming conference as speakers at the event. They will be joining more than 200 leading academics, politicians, economists, technologists, scientists, entertainers and businessmen from around the world.
Schmidt, Executive Chairman of Google, will participate in the opening plenary session and will discuss his "recipe for a better tomorrow." Additional hi-tech executives who will speak at the conference include: Chairman and CEO of Cisco Systems, John Chambers; CEO of French Telecom, Stephane Richard; Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission of the U.S., Julius Genachowski and CEO of the Publicis Group, Maurice Levy. "While he stands at the head of a company that greatly impacts our lives today, Schmidt and Google are constantly thinking about ways to improve our lives in the future," said Israel Maimon, Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Israeli Presidential Conference. "His participation in the Presidential Conference underscores the importance of thinking about our collective future and he will use his presentation at the conference to outline both his, and Google's, vision for a better tomorrow." About the Israeli Presidential Conference: The Fourth Israel Presidential Conference 'Facing Tomorrow' will be held from June 19-21, 2012. The first presidential conference took place in May 2008, one week after Israel celebrated its 60th year of independence, and on the basis of its success became an annual event.
