Bulgarian Deputy PM and Finance Minister, Simeon Djankov, will be in charge of the country while the Cabinet is on a two-day trip to Israel. Photo by BGNES The Israeli and Bulgarian governments have (Today 11 September 2012), in Jerusalem, hold their second inter-governmental consultation.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will welcome is Bulgarian counterpart, Boyko Borisov, in his Jerusalem office. At the same time, Israeli ministers and their Bulgarian counterparts will hold working meetings at the King David Hotel. Following the meetings, there will be a joint press conference and a Government meeting chaired by Prime Minister Netanyahu and Prime Minister Borisov. The two Prime Ministers will sign a joint declaration to mark the progress that has been achieved in bilateral relations and will emphasize their determination to further enhance relations and to expand cooperation on a broad range of strategically important issues. They will also reiterate their commitment to fight all forms of terrorism.

The two governments will also sign the following agreements:

1. A security cooperation agreement, including assurances for the peace and security of Israeli tourists in Bulgaria;

2. An information technology and communications cooperation agreement;

3. A health cooperation agreement; and

4. A culture, education and science cooperation agreement.
