Special Team on Dealing with the Needs of the Residents and Communities that were Affected by Operation Pillar of Defense Holds its First Meeting

Prime Minister's Office Director-General Harel Locker, this evening (Thursday, 22 November 2012), convened the first discussion of the Government team, which he heads, on ensuring quick treatment of the needs of residents and communities after Operation Pillar of Defense
The director-generals of the Finance, Home Front Defense, Tourism, Social Welfare and Social Services, Negev and Galilee, Education, Agriculture, Interior, and Industry, Trade and Labor ministries discussed the situation in the communities in the south and their ministries' activities in the field.
PMO Dir.-Gen. Locker commended the functioning of Government ministries regarding civilian needs and the home front during the Operation, and instructed the director-generals to continue showing the same level of service and generosity toward the residents and communities of the south that they showed during the operation.
The team will meet again this coming Tuesday (27 November).
Before the start of the discussion, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with PMO Dir.-Gen. Locker and asked him to work to shorten the bureaucracy in order to make things easier for the residents who were affected.
