The Nature and Parks Authority opens the Ramon Crater Visitor Center in Memory of Astronaut Ilan Ramon
The newly renovated visitor’s center at Mitzpe Ramon will open its doors in memory of Ilan Ramon, whose shuttle exploded during the Columbia disaster. The center offers an extraordinary journey through the life of the first Israeli astronaut and a unique experience with the wonders of the Ramon Crater.

of archaeological research of the past one hundred years

The archaeological archive of Israel, which is administered by the Israel Antiquities Authority and amasses data on all of the activity of the archeological entities in the country, is computerized and will go online in the coming days. This is being underwritten with joint funding provided by the “Landmarks” heritage program in the Prime Minister’s Office and the Israel Antiquities Authority. The scientific archive has its beginnings in the British Mandatory Department of Antiquities. It was continued by the Israel Department of Antiquities and is managed today by the Israel Antiquities Authority, which invests considerable thought and resources in its operation.

On January 20 at 20:00, the Association will hold a festive event on the occasion of 30th anniversary. The event will take place at Reading 3 Tel Aviv - Jaffa, and will include the mayor of Tel - Aviv - Jaffa, Ron Huldai, member of Knesset Meir Shitrit and his wife, the PR women Ruth Shitrit, the well known businessman David Weissman and others
The non-profit association works to provide assistance, love and support for children between the ages of 3 to 6, which were raised in tough environment and suffered from lack of basic education. The association operates dozens of shelters (with free computer access) and emergency lines which provide a helping hand.
