A unique moment when the Ambassador from Fiji knelt before the President, in true Fiji tradition, when presenting the credentials.

The State President, to the incoming Thai Ambassador:
“Thailand is a paradise for tourists the world over. Terrorists must never be allowed to destroy that Garden of Eden. Thai security forces are doing an excellent job to ensure that that never happens.”

New Ambassadors from Thailand, Nepal, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Spain and Fiji today presented their credentials to the State President. The five new Ambassadors thanked the President for the privilege of being able to serve in Israel, and to help promote strategic relationships between the countries. The President in turn congratulated the new Ambassadors, adding: “Israel is a friendly country and I have no doubt that you will feel at home here. I also feel certain that you will make a significant contribution to extending cooperation, friendship and links, in a wide range of fields, between Israel and your countries.”
